He has an article on his Web site, "How Not to Write Bad," in which he lists the most common errors he sees in student writing. Yagoda says the article is an ongoing project, which will eventually list "seventy deadly sins of prose." (Sound familiar? See my "Seven Deadly Sins with Nouns" in Sin and Syntax!) So far I count about a dozen sins, but it depends upon how you count.
